Assalamualiakum....:)
For this entry, i will share with u my experiences at KL Bird Park. Ok, the story begins when the head teacher at my working place decided to go for a trip to KL Bird Park on 8/3/2012. It was drizzling in the morning and we thought that we had to cancel the trip as there was no sign for the rain to stop (Teacher Asma' even planned to go to the museum instead of the bird park, aha.....??). The children even started to ask: "when will the bus starts moving teacher?" after tired of waiting in the bus and i had to make a foolish excuse i could say, as i told them that there's insufficient fuel and the bus driver had to fuel up the bus first before we could start our journey......duhhh! (i know there're thousands of other excuses i could came up with but...but....but...naaaah! past is past!) Alhamdulillah the rain stopped when we started to make a move, and the sun came out shinning the world, lighting the darkness, showing us the right path to KL Bird Park. (exaggeration here people!)
| NOT a pretty(perasan!) side of me lah. Kuku burung hantu tu tajam kowt! => |
Alhamdulillah, we finally arrived at 11.(something) am after much of difficulties. The children were totally excited! (even entering the bus in the first place was something that could trigger their excitement actually. They don't need Bird Park or anything else, but a BUS......seriously!). When we arrived, we were welcomed by a guide who introduced himself as Abg Handsome (short name) or also can be called as Abg Very Handsome (full name)....duhhh! (padahal Faizal is his actual name =_='). He guided us throughout our visit there. He even told us a very interesting fact. He told the kids that burung jantans are prettier than the female so that they can mengorat the burung betinas....(sorry for the improper used of language here...). We stopped at a station where they exhibited the birds outside the cage and Abg Faizal took an owl and showed it to us. Then, he asked one of the teachers to try and hold the bird, andddd, guess what??? I'm THE LUCKY one! As I'm the youngest among the teachers, so it will naturally be me lah of course. (other teachers doing their part by pushing me to the front....thank you very much lah teachers. =,=)

Later on, other teachers pun join sama pegang. :) Because the owl is too heavy for the children, Abg Faizal took a cute white parrot for them to hold. What's funny was that the children were braver than me in handling the bird.....duhhh! Then, we continued our journey to The Lair of Parrots! (*classical music playing with shinning light on*) Ok, i exagerrate a bit...but! It could be called The Lair of Parrots though! There were parrots everywhere! The funny part was that the parrots kept on standing on my head! duhh! At first, i was like "aaa, help me! help me!" (annoying kowt!), then later on, because of too many parrots kept on standing on my head, i was just like "pfffttt! what ever!". Some of the students cried as they were scared of the birds around but many were having sweet times being surrounded by a bunch of colorful eye-catching birds.
All and all, it was a fun experience lah being surrounded by that number of parrots. (although the worker in charge played fool on us as he kept on making the birds fly to us.....duhh!!).
| i told yaaa... |
Then, we were entertained with bird shows prepared by KL Bird Park. It was fascinating to see how clever the birds were although the tricks were all the same no matter where you go. Rising up flag, spinning in a reel, fly through the audiences, throwing dumps into the dustbin, and so on. (i think they should come up with new tricks lah instead of repeating the same old tricks....huhu. it's just my opinion though. =>) Something happened during the performance when one of the bird was not in the mood i could say as it refused to do the trick it should. Well, everyone has their time lah, even birds are not exceptional. hehe. After the show, it was time to go back. The children were not exhausted YET. They were still running around and playing at the compound while we waited for the bus to come. When we boarded the bus, in the blink of the eyes, the children entered the shut-down mode (although some of them were not affected by the tiredness and kept on making noises in the bus..........well, they are children lah.)

That's all for now, tata titi tutu....Assalamualaikum. :)
